Big Changes to “Photography of Lachlan McDonald”

LazyMoon Related Photo LMCD

It has obviously been quite a few months since my last update. Its not that I’ve forgotten about the site, rather, I decided to be a responsible student this time round and study for my university exams.

Now that they are over, I have found the time to complete the new Perspectives section on my photography collection. As well as giving the site a complete re-design and fixing a number of unresolved issues that have been stuck with the site since it was first built.

Perspectives holds the notion that every photograph has a story. Having not been out for a photographic trip since the start of the year, and having an over abundance of un-published photos, I decided to create the Perspectives section to share the surroundings and the atmosphere of some of the photographs in my collection.

The “Snaps” collection has also been updated with a number of new portraits.

Enjoy.

Reason For Delays

LazyMoon Related

A recent server migration has rendered a large portion of LazyMoon unavailable due to differences in server technology,  which are apparently un-fixable. In doing so, LazyMoon is running on PHP 4 instead of the prefered PHP 5 until all the erroneous code can be replaced.

This sadly means that Ink Grass updates will occur slower,  until I have some free time to be creative again. Sorry about that, but such is the world of internet hosting.

Community of Variation

LazyMoon Related

Admittedly it has been a fair while since I last worked with ContextFree. My gallery of works has somewhat stagnated by the lack of releases. Whilst I haven’t been all that active, I am very happy to see that the ContextFree book “Community of Variation”, containing one of my works, has finally made it to publication.

Mark Lentczner, the author behind the book and the software, started the project to illustrate the types of work that are being produced by the ContextFree community. Whilst the language and community is still fairly within its infancy, the book shows some of the best, if not the best, of the communities work to date. I went through the preliminary content whilst it was waiting to be proof by its respective creator, and the quality and simplicity of the designs was just astounding.

For those interested, you can find more about the book on its Blurb site.

LazyMoon Related

It appears that an incorrectly named form element has meant that people where unable to submit comments to the posts contained here on Ink Grass. This has now been fixed.

If there are any further issues, you can contact me directly.
